Website Developer? We want you!

Matter Solutions is currently looking for a skilled website developer to join the team. We have two roles, one full time and we’re considering adding someone else part-time too, 10-15 hours per week.

Established in London over 10 years ago Matter Solutions is a website design and internet marketing company now based north of Brisbane, in Margate on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

We work with clients both in the UK and Australia and the company is steadily expanding due to our reputation for high quality work and an exceptional ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

Seven things about You

To be considered you must possess the following skills and attributes…

1. Skilled PHP Coder, able to write reusable code, understand and
   apply the principles of software development
2. As an experienced website developer you’re already a master
   of PHP & HTML and have good knowledge of JavaScript and MySQL
3. Flair for project management, comfortable using project management software and working with clients and colleagues in remote locations
4. A commercial mindset with a “can do” attitude
5. You love the web. We want someone that shares a passion for websites and delivering online success for clients
6. CMS Experience. You must be skilled at using and customising WordPress
7. X factor. We’re looking for that magical mix of someone who is full of ideas but can also get things done – tell us about yourself

Other desired skills

This is a list of skills we value and would help your application greatly, they’re (roughly) in order of importance for these roles.

• More CMS skills, a strong knowledge of Drupal would be helpful
• Configuration and design of Magento Commerce websites would be a plus
• Awareness of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) – and eagerness to learn
• Project Management – Work with designers to build websites. Giving excellent instructions
  to colleagues and taking ownership of your projects.
• Ruby on Rails coding experience would be highly regarded and training could
  be made available

Hours and rates are open for discussion and can be flexible. We anticipate need for around 10-15 hours per week at our office in Margate.
