The Gap Plumbing Service

They needed a website that would deliver.

The Yellow Pages was just no longer really working but they didn’t want to ditch it completely. This meant splitting the spend and put some money into a website… yes a limited budget because the Yellow Pages costs.

We built a website on a budget. The client gave us a number and we did what we could. It wasn’t the prettiest website in the world BUT it still converts visitors into leads, by not wasting a visitors time and it forms a solid foundation for all the further work done.

We also made sure the website would rank in the search engines. How?

SEO – Search Engine Optimisation

Getting a website to appear in Google is pretty easy… Google actually teaches you everything you need to know. That’s because Google wants you to appear – they wouldn’t exist without everybody’s websites.

BUT…. actually ranking… that’s another story. Getting to number one – we can do that too.

Step by Step

We take a step by step approach to internet marketing. We worked out with The Gap Plumbing Service what they want to be doing as a business, i.e. what makes them money. We worked out what visitors would type-in that would become those high-value leads.

Then we set goals with the clients…

  1. Get the website ranking for the business name “The Gap Plumbing Service” – no problem. We did that within weeks just by building the website right (many Web Designers can’t even seem to do this).
  2. Get the website ranking for the local suburbs and some key phrases – took a bit longer and the client needed to write some information using the key words we supplied but achieved it pretty quickly considering it was a brand new website.
  3. Continue to build on more suburbs and more key words phrases and push the Page One listings until we’re in the top five.
  4. Make steady moves on the big keywords that bring lots and lots of leads. This is done steadily so that once attained they can take and hold it.

So, what’s the point?

Too many website designers just want to make something pretty they don’t care whether it actually works for you. Even if they do most don’t have a clue where to start… because making a website convert actually means removing some of the rubbish many website designers add.

We’ve had potential clients nodding up to this point but when the time comes to pay for a website they choose the pretty website then 3 months later they wonder why the pretty website is getting even less interest than their old ugly website. We know and we can help.

A website must be clever

When buying a website, buy something of substance. You’re creating a sales tool that will sell to your customers 24 hours a day, while your in the car, on holiday and even when you are asleep.

It needs to be able to explain and answer all sorts of questions. It will take time and effort to get right.

Your website needs to be clever not just pretty :)
